This policy applies to all SheetCity products, including Select Special Cells and any add-ons, tools, or software we release in future. Purchases are processed by Gumroad, who act as our payment provider and merchant of record.
1. 30-day money-back guarantee
You can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase if the product doesn’t work for you, doesn’t do what its product page described, or simply isn’t what you expected. You don’t need to write an essay — a sentence about what went wrong is enough, and it helps us fix things for the next person.
To request a refund, email support@v1.sheetcity.com from the address you used to purchase, or include your license key or Gumroad receipt so we can find your order. We reply within 1–3 business days.
Refunds are for people who bought something that didn’t suit them. They are not a way to use a product for a specific task and then reclaim the price once the task is done. Where a licence has clearly been used to complete substantial work, we may decline the request or offer a partial refund instead — see §7.
2. How long a refund takes
We process approved refunds within 7 business days of your request, and usually much sooner. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in India.
Refunds are returned via Gumroad to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the money may take a further 5–10 business days to appear after we’ve processed it. That part is outside our control.
If it’s been longer than that and you still haven’t seen the money, email us — we’ll chase it with Gumroad on your behalf.
3. What happens when a refund is issued
When a purchase is refunded, the associated license key is deactivated. Paid features stop working and the product returns to its free tier, if one exists. This happens automatically the next time the product verifies the license.
Refunds do not affect your spreadsheets, documents, or any other data. Our products operate on your files only while you’re actively using them, and we don’t retain copies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Licence terms relevant to refunds
Each licence key is for use by one person, on one Google account. When you activate a key, it becomes tied to the Google account you activated it with.
You can move a licence between accounts: deactivate it from within the product first, then activate it on the account you want to use. If you’ve lost access to the original account and can’t deactivate it yourself, email us and we’ll release it for you.
Licence keys are not for sharing or redistribution. If a key is used on an account other than the one it’s registered to, activation will be refused. If you believe this has happened in error, contact us — this is a technical safeguard, not an accusation, and we’ll fix it.
5. Chargebacks and payment reversals
If a payment is reversed through your bank or card issuer, the licence is terminated automatically. This applies regardless of how much time has passed since purchase, including long after the refund window has closed.
If you’re unhappy with a purchase, please contact us before disputing the charge. A refund is faster for you, cheaper for us, and avoids the situation where your licence stops working while a dispute is being resolved. We respond to every good-faith refund request within 1–3 business days, and we have never ignored one.
We reserve the right to decline future sales to accounts with a history of payment reversals.
6. Subscriptions
Our products are currently sold as one-time purchases. If we introduce subscription pricing in future, this section will be updated to cover cancellation and renewal terms, and existing one-time purchases will continue to be honoured under the terms they were bought under.
7. When we may decline a refund
We reserve the right to decline a refund request, or to offer a partial refund, in the following circumstances:
- Substantial completed use. The licence has been used to perform significant work — for example, processing large volumes of data — and the request appears to be an attempt to obtain the product’s value without paying for it.
- Repeat purchase-and-refund cycles. The same person or account has previously bought and refunded the same or a similar product.
- Licence sharing or redistribution. The licence key has been shared, resold, published, or used on accounts other than the one it is registered to.
- Abuse or misuse. The product has been used in breach of our Terms of Service.
- Requests outside the window. The request is made more than 30 days after purchase. We may still consider these at our discretion, but are not obliged to.
We decide these case by case and will explain our reasoning. If you disagree with a decision, reply and tell us why — we would rather resolve it directly than have you go to your bank.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India). Where those rights conflict with this policy, those rights prevail.
